Crystal
My name is Crystal. I am a member of the Teach For America 2015 corps in the process of finishing up a B.A in Psychology, a B.A. in English, and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. I participate actively in creative writing and serve in the Christian community at my campus. Outside of student life, I blog at Write, Crystal, where I blog weekly to explore topics that come up in life and which aren't always covered deeply enough (if ever) in the classroom. Through this, I seek to empower people in various stages of life.

I am also a book blogger at Imaginary Reads, which I founded in April 2011 to share my love of books. Though I initially started it as a fun hobby, Imaginary Reads now takes a more literary and critical approach to fiction. After realizing that many of the books I was reading from the YA market didn't support my Christian learning, I founded Reading in Faith in October 2014 to blog books from a faith perspective. Since then, my initial vision for the blog grew into a desire to create a ministry of young women that share their stories about Christian living as a young adult to encourage our peers to live gracious, loving, joyful lives. This vision came to life in January 2015 as Sufficient in Grace.

Carly
I'm a senior at Southern Methodist University majoring in Computer Science. On campus, I'm involved in Engineers without Borders and participate in Sing Song every year, which is an annual competition where different student groups write and perform 10 minute musicals. The innovation gym is my favorite place to pass time on campus-- there's a laser cutter, 3D printers, and countless tools available for students to use to make whatever project they want to work on (class-related or not).

When I'm not at school, I'm usually at Starbucks spending way too much money on coffee and working on various projects. I think people are fascinating, which is why I've become slightly obsessed with Myers Briggs personality types (ENFP, anybody?). My phone and tablet are both in Spanish because I'm determined to become fluent one day. Slow and steady. With all my various interests, hobbies, and coursework, I find myself pretty busy most of the time. My faith keeps me from stressing out and loving everyone around me the best I can. I'm kind of a mess as it is, BUT I know it'd be infinitely worse if I wasn't leaning on Jesus for support and comfort.

I mostly listen to Christian music (with a little bit of country and latin thrown in the mix), so I plan on sharing my favorite new(ish) songs on this blog and my thoughts on their relation to my life as a Christian college student. Thanks for stopping by!

Ashley
Ashley Romo is an undergraduate at Southern Methodist University (class of 2015), studying biology and psychology on the Pre-Med track. Her dream to become a physician is inextricably tied to her Christian faith in that both require adopting the posture of a servant-leader. Along with her studies, she enjoys leading worship in the children’s ministry at her local church as well as leading a small group directed toward other Pre-Health students.

Ruth
My name is Ruth and I am currently a senior in college working towards completing my B.A. in Biology and Teachers certification. In my spare time, I enjoy writing, dancing (I recently learned some tap dance!) and listening to music. I have a blog called T{ruth} Speaks Life where I write about a variety of topics that are relevant to my life from college tips to body positivity.

Early adulthood, particularly the college years, is a time of transition where new experiences meet newfound freedom. During this time it is easy to lose sight of what really matters if you’re not grounded in your faith, and for that reason, through this blog I hope to encourage others to pursue a Christ-centered life while being a light to the world.
